- 1 cup ricotta cheese (whole milk)
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (freshly grated)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (whole milk)
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1/4 cup fresh basil (chopped)
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare all ingredients to streamline cooking.
- Boil salted water in a large pot; cook ravioli as per package instructions until al dente.
- While ravioli cooks, heat marinara sauce in a separate saucepan over low heat.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta, mozzarella, and half of the Parmesan; season with salt and pepper.
- Drain ravioli and gently combine with the marinara sauce and cheese mixture.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish, top with remaining Parmesan, drizzle with olive oil, and bake for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the marinara sauce.
- Fresh herbs can enhance the flavor; consider adding oregano or thyme.
