A delicious homemade cranberry chutney that’s perfect for the holidays!
Ingredients

- 12 oz fresh cranberries
- 1 medium onion (finely diced)
- 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger (grated)
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Rinse cranberries under cold water and remove any soft ones.
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, heat olive oil and sauté the diced onion until translucent (about 5 minutes).
- Stir in cranberries, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, ginger, and the cinnamon stick.
- Bring to a gentle boil, stirring occasionally.
- Simmer uncovered until cranberries burst and mixture thickens (approximately 15 minutes).
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
- Remove from heat and discard the cinnamon stick.
- Allow chutney to cool before transferring to an airtight container.
- Chill for at least one hour before serving.

- This chutney pairs well with meat dishes and can be served cold or at room temperature.
