- 1 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar, divided
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon

- 2 cups oil for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk 2 cups flour, 2 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp cinnamon, and 1/2 tsp salt until combined.
- In another bowl, mix 1 cup milk, 1 egg, 2 tbsp melted butter, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, and 1/2 cup brown sugar until smooth.
- Slowly combine wet and dry ingredients, stirring gently until a thick batter forms. Tip: do not overmix.
- Heat 2 cups oil in a deep pot over medium heat until hot but not smoking.
- Scoop batter using a small scoop and fry for 2 to 3 minutes, turning until golden brown. Tip: keep oil temperature steady.
- Drain on paper towels, then roll warm donut holes in remaining 1/2 cup sugar mixed with extra cinnamon.
