Description

A quick and delicious spicy garlic butter shrimp recipe.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (divided (½ stick))
  • 1 pound raw shrimp (cleaned, peeled, and deveined)
  • to taste Kosher salt
  • to taste freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 1 tablespoon chili pepper paste (or red pepper paste)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

Instructions

  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet set over medium-high heat.
  2. Season shrimp with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Toss the shrimp into the skillet and add in the garlic paste and chili pepper paste. Stir to combine. Cook for 4-5 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.
  4. Stir in the lemon juice and remaining 2 tablespoons of butter, stirring to fully combine.
  5. Sprinkle with dried herbs and serve.

Notes

  • Adjust crushed red pepper flakes to your heat preference.
  • Fresh herbs can be substituted for dried if available.
