Description

This delicious slow-cooked beef chuck roast is perfect for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 34 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 packet French onion soup mix
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 units onions, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • optional Fresh thyme for garnish

Instructions

  1. Slice the onions and mince the garlic to create a flavorful aromatic base.
  2. Optional: Sear the beef chuck roast in a hot pan until browned on all sides.
  3. Place the roast into the crock pot. Add the sliced onions, minced garlic, French onion soup mix, Worcestershire sauce, and beef broth. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Cover the crock pot and cook on low for about 8 hours or high for 4 hours. The longer it cooks, the better the flavor.
  5. Once done, shred the meat in the crock pot with two forks and mix it with the sauce.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh thyme if desired.
