- 2¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 8 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- Flaky sea salt, for sprinkling
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for about 10 minutes until foamy.
- Add flour, salt, olive oil, and mix until a rough dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Melt the unsalted butter in a small saucepan, then stir in minced garlic, Parmesan cheese, parsley, red pepper flakes, and black pepper.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Shape the risen dough into loaves and place in greased bread pans.
- Brush the garlic butter mixture over the tops of the dough.
- Sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
