Description

Ingredients

  • 1¾ cups warm water
  • 2¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 8 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • Flaky sea salt, for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for about 10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add flour, salt, olive oil, and mix until a rough dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Melt the unsalted butter in a small saucepan, then stir in minced garlic, Parmesan cheese, parsley, red pepper flakes, and black pepper.
  6. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  7. Shape the risen dough into loaves and place in greased bread pans.
  8. Brush the garlic butter mixture over the tops of the dough.
  9. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
