Lemon Garlic Spaghetti

Description

A delicious lemon garlic spaghetti dish topped with parsley and parmesan.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 500 ml heavy cream
  • 3 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • 3/4 cup parmesan, grated
  • 300 g spaghetti
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions until it reaches al dente texture. Once cooked, drain the pasta and set it aside.
  2. In a large skillet or saucepan, melt the butter over medium-low heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for a couple of minutes until fragrant and golden brown.
  3. Once the garlic is golden, pour in the freshly squeezed lemon juice and stir well to combine.
  4. Pour the heavy cream into the skillet, stirring to combine. Let simmer for about 5 minutes or until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Once thickened, add the cooked pasta along with half a cup of pasta water. Toss until the spaghetti is coated, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  6. Remove from heat, sprinkle parsley and grate Parmesan on top. Toss gently to incorporate.
  7. Transfer the pasta to plates, garnish with additional parsley and Parmesan, and enjoy!

  • This dish is best enjoyed fresh.
  • Adjust the amount of lemon and garlic to your taste.
