Description

A quick and nutritious breakfast that you can prepare the night before.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup milk (any type: almond, whole, oat, etc.)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar (adjust to your taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • a pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium-sized bowl or jar, combine the rolled oats, brown sugar, milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix well until everything is evenly distributed.
  2. Transfer the mixture to a mason jar or an airtight container. Seal it tightly and place it in the refrigerator overnight (or for at least 4 hours).
  3. When ready to enjoy, take them out of the fridge and give them a good stir. Top with your favorite fruits, nuts, or a sprinkle of more brown sugar, if desired.
  4. Grab a spoon and dig in! You can eat them straight from the jar or transfer them to a bowl for a more leisurely breakfast.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider adding cinnamon or nutmeg.
  • You can substitute the milk with any non-dairy alternative if desired.
  • These can be topped with berries, bananas, or nuts for added nutrition.
