Description

A delicious and hearty dish made with ground beef, vegetables, and pasta, perfect for a cozy dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (Use Halal-certified if needed.)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni (Substitute with gluten-free pasta if desired.)
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (Add about 10 minutes before serving.)

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  2. In the same skillet, add chopped onion, green bell pepper, and minced garlic. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until the vegetables begin to soften.
  3. Transfer the cooked beef and sautéed vegetables to your Crock Pot. Add crushed tomatoes, beef broth, tomato sauce, elbow macaroni, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Stir everything well to combine. Set your Crock Pot on low and cook for 4-5 hours. Alternatively, set it on high for about 2-3 hours if you’re in a hurry.
  5. If using cheddar cheese, stir it in about 10 minutes before serving, allowing it to melt and enhance the flavors.
  6. Once cooked, give it a good stir and serve hot. Garnish with additional cheese or herbs if desired.
